WELCOME TO UFO 1977

One of my favorite questions to be asked is, "Did I ever tell you about that time I saw a UFO?" When I answered "No" to that very question from a friend, he proceeded to tell me a story about a strange craft that visited him in 1977. He said, "Look into it. California. 1977." So I did. And so here I am.

I'm Erik Schlimmer, head honcho of UFO 1977. I'm here to share what I uncover as I write UFO 1977: The Year California Stood Still., to be published by Beechwood Books just in time for the fiftieth anniversary of the events that unfolded. As a professional researcher, I leave no stone unturned. 

My interest in UFOs began in 2000 when I attended a presentation by nuclear physicist and UFO researcher Stanton Friedman. After watching him wield eloquence and evidence for two hours straight, I thought, There's gotta be something to this. Now I work with UFO support and research organizations and have appeared on the podcasts Curious Dimensions, Down the UFO Rabbit Hole, Night Shift, The Amazing People Podcast, MUFON Podcast, UAP Medical Coalition Podcast, Psicoactivo Podcast, UAP Studies Podcast, and UFO Garage.
