One of my favorite questions to be asked is, "Did I ever tell you about that time I saw a UFO?" When I answered "No" to that very question a friend of mine asked, he proceeded to tell me a mind-bending UFO story, a strange tale of a strange craft with strange beings that visited him in 1977 when he was a 10-year-old California kid. At the end of his tale my friend recommended, "You should look into it. California. 1977." So I did. And so here I am.
I'm Erik Schlimmer, head honcho of UFO 1977. I'm here to share what I uncover as I write UFO 1977: The Year California Stood Still. This will be published by Beechwood Books just in time for the fiftieth anniversary of the events that unfolded. As a professional researcher I leave no stone unturned. I'm the author of twelve books and possess a Master's in Social Work, a Bachelor's in Speech Communication, and an Associate's in Wilderness Leadership.
My interest in UFOs began in 2000 when I attended a presentation by nuclear physicist and mainstay UFO researcher Stanton Friedman. After watching Friedman wield eloquence and evidence for two hours straight I thought, There's gotta be something to this. The rest, as they say, is history.
